In year 2006, Super Junior 05 moved on to their second single "Miracle", a light bubblegum-flavoured song which peak at No. 1 on different music charts in South Korea as well as Asia countries. When promotions for the single slowly come to an end, SM Entertainment announced to the public that Super Junior 05 was not intended to be a permanent group but a rotational project group so as to create popularity and experiences for each member in order to achieve success easily in the entertainment industry. The recording company revealed that some members would either stay or leave the group to pursue on solo activities. New members would probably joined in to replace the members who leave the group while some would be rotated. This caused outrageous reaction from the fans who wanted Super Junior 05 to remain together as a group.
On 23 May 2006, SM Entertainment announced the addition of a new member Kyu Hyun, the youngest member of the group. The group polished a newer look and released their new single "U" online for fans to download free on 25 May 2006. In Year 2007, Super Junior underwent a rough bend, beginning to branch out into different splinter groups and became detached, causing rumors that the group was disbanding. Super Junior - K.R.Y was the first sub-group to be created in November 2006 with 3 members, Ye sung, Ryeo Wook and Kyu Hyun who was known to have the most perfect and powerful vocals in Super Junior. K.R.Y participated in the Original Soundtrack for TV Drama Hyena with a total of three tracks, including the main theme. Each member of K.R.Y have their own numbers of fan-base which could also be a marketable group itself even without presented as super Junior. The next sub-group will be Super Junior-T created in February 2007 with members Lee Tuek, Hee Chul, Kang In, Shin Dong, Sung Min and Eun Hyuk. The group released their first single "Rokkugo" on 23 February 2007 which they sing a traditional style of K-pop into a more modernised version and was well-received by both the older and younger generation. The group even received praises from music critics. The single sucessfully topped No. 1 spot in several music charts in Korea. Super Junior-T made their first television appearance on 25 February 2007 on SBS Inkigayo with trot singer Bang Shil Yi and sang her hit song " Chut Cha".
Super Junior was also popular in Asia countries especially China and Thailand which the group paid many visits to these two countries promoting their songs. There have been speculation whereby Super Junior will target overseas markets and hold an Asian world concert tour in 2008. The group's second full-length album was marked to be release on November 2006 but was postponed due to a serious incident on 19 April 2007 at about 12.20am (Korean time) where 4 members of Super Junior, Lee Tuek, Shin Dong, Eun Hyuk and Kyu Hyun and two managers were injured in a car crash. The driver lost control of the vehicle as the van flipped over on its right side. Kyu Hyun, who was sitting behind the driver's seat was severely injured with a fractured hip, pneumothorax from fractured ribs and facial scratches and bruises. Lee Tuek had a sucessful operation removing the glass shards in his back and received a total of 170 stitches on his face and his back. Lee Tuek was discharged from the hospital on 30 april 2007 while Kyu Hyun was discharged two months later on the 5 July 2007.
After the incident, Super Junior finally released their 2nd album on 20 September 2007 with their hit songs "Don't Don", a rock-inspired piece with an R&B vibe. This song marks the group's change in musical vocals and image. Within 3 days of release, the album selling around 66,678 copies debuting as No.1 in their local charts.
